שום דבר לא הכין את הנזיר לבן השיער לטלטלות, לעוצמות ולתובנות העמוקות שפגש באותו היום.

הבוקר התנהל בשקט הרגיל של האשראם. הוא טבל במי המעיין והתייחד שעה ארוכה במדיטציה ותרגול יוגה מול קרניה הראשונות של השמש העולה. רק משב הרוח הקל וציוץ הציפורים היו שם להזכירו שאינו לבד בעולם. כשכרך את הסארי הנקי והריחני סביב גופו, הרהר בחיוך בדרך הארוכה שעשה בחייו מהכפר הנידח ועד למעמדו הרם כגורו מבוקש שתלמידי ושועי הארץ נוהים ונוהרים אליו.

התבונה העמוקה שרכש במהלך שנים רבות של התבוננות, התמדה והקשבה לקולות הפנימיים העמוקים ביותר שרחשו בקרבו, אפשרו עתה לזהות את מכמני נפשו של כל מי שניצב לפניו, הרבה לפני שזה אף פצה את פיו.

הוא ניחן בשלווה כל כך עמוקה שנראה היה ששום דבר אינו יכול להוציאו משלוותו או לערער את האיזון שיצר בתוכו – כאילו יסודותיו העמוקים נעוצים כה עמוק באדמה בעוד ראשו ותבונתו ניזונים ישירות מאיזו אנרגיה גבוהה ושמימית שמאפשרת לו נקודת מבט רחבה ביותר, כזו שיכולה לזהות לאן מובילים תהליכים בהם נמצאים אנשים, כיצד תתנהלנה עסקאות או תתפתחנה משפחות, מי יחלה ומי יבריא, מי ישגשג ומי יכשל, לאן פונה האהבה ואיך ינהגו הבוחרים בבחירות.

פלאששש… פלאששש … צליל עדין, אוושה קלה, פחות אפילו מהתנועה העדינה של כנף הווילון הדקיק ברוח. הוא גלש אל תוך החדר כמעט ללא קול או תנועת אוויר, גדול, עוצמתי, שופע זכריות ומאיים. עם גבו לקיר שמאחור, זקף את ראשו, בגאווה, התגרות או איום ושלח קדימה את ״לשונו״ המפוצלת.

הקוברה הזדקף מול הנזיר, התגשמותו של גדול הפחדים והאיומים, האם יצליח הנזיר לצלוח את האימה? האם ישרוד את הטלטלה?
